Mykonos Town (or Chora) is the capital and main port of the island. White houses with colorful doors and windows, numerous paved paths, lovely chapels and picturesque windmills mark the authentic architecture of this town. The small gift shops, the luxurious stores and the romantic restaurants by the sea give a cosmopolitan vibe to Mykonos Town. The trademarks of the town are the pelicans that stroll around the narrow paths, the hill with the windmills above the town and the picturesque quarter of Little Venice. Excursion boats connect Mykonos Town to Delos, a small uninhabited island of archaeological importance.
